Mumbai : Handing over the Sushant Singh Rajput death case probe to the CBI is a shocker for the Uddhav Thackeray led Maha-Vikas Aghadi government that which has maintained that the state police is competent to handle the matter.

Both, the Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and Home Minister Anil Deshmukh have been saying that there is no need to hand over the case to the CBI, despite the pressure mounting on them from various quarters.

The entire episode took a curious turn when the chief minister Uddhav Thackeray’s son Aditya Thackeray’s name is being associated with the death of Sushant Singh Rajput and his former manager Disha Salian.

After lots of accusations and conspiracy theories, Aditya Thackeray has finally broken his silence on Wednesday. He dismissed all the rumours and called it dirty politics born out of frustration. He said that he is not even remotely connected to the case. He added that having friends in Bollywood is not a crime.

On Wednesday he issued a statement that reads, “I am not even remotely connected to the case. I wish to say as the grandson of Balasaheb Thackeray, that I will never do anything that would hurt the prestige of Maharashtra, Shiv Sena and Thackeray family. The people who are levelling baseless allegations should understand this.” It further reads, “Those who are pricked by the success and popularity of the Maharashtra government have started dirty politics over the death of Sushant Singh Rajput.”

He said that it’s purely unnecessary mud-slinging on him and the Thackeray family. “This is nothing but dirty politics arisen out of frustration,” Aaditya further said.
