Spl Article: Shiv Sena V/s Kangana: Now actress appears to have an edge over Sena and its leaders

The controversial Bollywood actress, Kangana Ranaut, has again taken up cudgels against the Shiv Sena and its leader, the chief minister Uddhav Thackeray and slammed the chief minister, the Sena Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Raut and the BMC for the “carelessness” in the wake of deaths of 41 people after a building collapsed at Bhiwandi.

Targetting them, Kangana said that Pakistan-sponsored Pulwama terror attack did not claim as many lives as were lost in the collapse of a three-storeyed building at Bhiwandi in the Thane district.

Shiv Sena leaders and particularly its spokesman Sanjay Raut , who were constantly targeting Kangana for her statements on the mysterious death of Bollywood actor, Sushant Singh Rajput, are not getting befitting replies from the actress. She further went on to say that the tragedy could have been averted if attention was given to the building rather than illegally demolishing her home in Mumbai.

“God knows, what will happen to Mumbai,” Ranaut posted a tweet while sharing a photograph of the building that collapsed. Ranaut’s tweet came a day ahead of the Bombay High Court hearing on her petition against the demolition carried out at her office at Bandra in Mumbai on September 9 by the BMC.

It was alleged that her office was partially demolished by the BMC at the instance of Shiv Sena leaders. A day after Hindi cinema actress’s office in Bandra was demolished by Sena-controlled BMC over alleged illegal alterations, a piece in party mouthpiece Saamana was published with the header ‘Ukhaad diya’, in a clear display of the arrogance of the ruling party in the state. Raut, who is the de facto editor the newspaper, also said “this demolition was a lesson for the actor” in its editorial.

On Tuesday, the Bombay High Court had permitted Kangana Ranaut to include senior Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut and BMC’s H-West Ward’s designated officer Bhagyavant Late as parties to her petition. In her plea, the actress has sought the High Court’s directions to declare the demolition carried out by the BMC in her Bandra office as illegal and demanded Rs two-crore as compensation for the damages from the civic body.

The way entire episode has taken a curious turn, it seems that the battle for Sena against the actress in coming days would not be an easy one!
