Nagpur :- The RSS is perturbed with the on-going Delhi situation and reportedly advised its swayamsevaks there to work for restoring the peace in the national capital. The RSS general secretary Bhaiyyaji Joshi on Thursday said that nobody has the right to take law and order into their hands. It is the responsibility of the government to act in the interest of the people and implement law and order through strict action, he said.
A senior swayamsevak, who preferred anonymity here said, “What is happening in Delhi?” “Has anything like this ever happened? Action should be taken by the administration,” he said while Joshi said, “There is an atmosphere of unrest across the national capital and the government must restore peace immediately.” The senior swayamsevak, who preferred to be anonymity said, whatever is happening in Delhi should not happen. If some goons and those with aggressive tendencies are resorting to this, the administration should step in to curb it. It is the duty of the government to implement law and order,” he added.
A tense calm settled on a swath of national capital Thursday after a stunning outbreak of communal violence this week left around 35 dead. The riots are the worst such clashes to hit Delhi in decades and came as President Donald Trump made his first official visit to India. Mobs of Hindus and Muslims had clashed on roads and alleyways in northeast Delhi, throwing stones and crude gasoline bombs. Joshi said that nobody has the right to take law and order into their hands. “There is an atmosphere of unrest across the national capital and the government must restore peace immediately,” he said. Joshi, who is number two in the organisation, said that the government should instil peace in areas where there is unrest. And it should take all necessary steps immediately to restore peace there.
