New Delhi: The newlywed Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra gave an epic reaction to the New York Mag’s TheCut article, journalist Mariah Smith in an article termed the actress as a “global scam artist”, who tricked young Jonas, 26, into a lifelong commitment when all he really wanted was a fling.
The article (now deleted) soon after its publishe was slammed by Bollywood celebs including Sonam Kapoor and Swara Bhaskar.
For a publication that “shows women’s what they are made of” @TheCut has a lot to answer for . The article on @priyankachopra was sexist , racist and disgusting. Also it’s written by a woman which is so sad. It reeks of envy and bitterness. @mRiah shame on you! https://t.co/bmbbX7LrAT

Priyanka was asked about this at an event in Delhi last night, said, “I don’t even want to react or comment. It’s not even in my stratosphere. I’m in a happy place at this moment. These kinds of random things can’t disturb it”, said PeeCee with utmost composure.
In the viral article, Smith slammed the couple, who got married in Jodhpur last week, saying that priyanka a “global scam artist” whose PR machinery was looking out for a romance for her. It said that while Nick was only looking out for “a fling” with Hollywood’s latest “It woman”, the American singer was looking straight at a “life sentence”. After the article got circulated on social media, it garnered huge flak from some of the members of Indian film fraternity.
Reacting to the same, Priyanka’s future sister-in-law and Game of Thrones star, Sophie Turner said, “This is wildly inappropriate and totally disgusting. Very disappointed that The Cut would give anyone a platform to spew such bulls–t.”
