Janata curfew in Aurangabad in view of rising COVID-19 cases

Aurangabad: The industrial city Aurangabad in Maharashtra was virtually deserted on Friday as the city observed a Janta Curfew amid the rising cases of the Covid-19.

The Janata curfew was called by the local administration and it will continue for nine days till July 18. All services except the essential ones have been prohibited during this period.
Over 7,400 people have been infected with the deadly virus in the city while 314 patients have lost their lives because of the virus so far.

In view of the rising tread of Coronavirus positive cases, the curfew that began from today will be implemented strictly and all arterial roads will be monitored closely. The district administration will take action against people driving around without permission.

The Maharashtra state is the worst-hit in the country with more than 2.30 lakh cases of Covid-19 and 9,667 deaths related to the viral disease.
