Jalna News: Vehicle theft exposed in Jalna

Jalna: The local crime branch of Jalna exposed two-wheeler thefts and recovered 11 vehicles and arrested two suspects in this connection.

According to the sources a bike was stolen from Singhi bazar area on November 19. The owner of the bike Babasaheb Wagh had lodged a complaint with the Sadar Bazar police station.

Acting on the tip off the police arrested two accused Sagar Digambar Dukre (20), a resident Kenhi village in Jafrabad tehsil, currently is living in old Jalna and Shankar Jadhav (18) a resident Indira nagar, Jalna. After interrogation, the police claimed the duo have confessed that they were involved in theft.

The police claimed that the duo was involved in various instances of thefts at different places in Jalna and Hingoli town. They used to change number of the vehicles and sold them by faking documents.

The duo has named their accomplices and the police are hunting for them. A case was registered against them and further investigating is going on.

The action was taken under the guidance of district superintendent of police, Jyoti Priya Singh, police inspector Anant Kulkarni, assistant police inspector Vinod Ejjapwar, Suresh Bhale, Poolchand Hazare, Maroti Shivarkar, Subash Pawar, Mansingh Bawri, Krishna Dette, Aakash Kuril, Shrikumar Adpe, Waghmare and Chandrashekar Mante.
