Wellington: On Sunday, India defeated New Zealand by 35 runs to win the One-Day Series. India’s performance in the opening match at Wellington was not exactly right. The fifth and final ODI of the series was the first to bat, while batting first, 4 wickets for 18 runs. But still by winning and getting equal support from the member, it won the series 4-1.
India bowled out New Zealand for 217 after setting them a target of 253 runs to chase to pick up a 35-run in the 5th ODI in Wellington. With the win, the men in blue took a 4-1 win in the series, which is their biggest series victory in New Zealand. Yuzvendra Chahal shined with the ball, picking up two wickets, while Hardik Pandya contributed with both bat and ball.
Earlier, India had scored 252 runs in 49.5 overs with the help of a 90-runs knock from Ambati Rayudu. Pandya also scored 45 runs in 22 balls to take India past 250.
