Mumbai: Amid the outrage over Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul’s controvercial women remarks on the sets of Koffee with Karan (KwK), Hotstar on Thursday, removed the episode featuring the two cricketers.
The controversial episode of KwK featuring the two Indian cricketers went on air on January 5, both the cricketers, especially Pandya, revealed how close they have been with multiple women. This statement drew a massive backlash from the fans as they slammed Pandya on social media for his remarks.
Ever since then Pandya has been slammed by Tweeple for his derogatory remarks. The duo also recieved a show cause notice by the BCCI for their comments about women on the show.
Later, taking to Twitter, Pandya on Wednesday, said, “After reflecting on my comments on Koffee with Karan, I would like to apologise to everyone concerned who I may have hurt in any way. Honestly, I got a bit carried away with the nature of the show. In no way did I mean to disrespect or hurt anyone’s sentiments. Respect.”
On the show, Pandya boasted of having hooked up with multiple women and spoke about how open he has been about it with his parents. He also said his family was “cool” with his sexual activities.
When asked why he didn’t ask women their names in clubs, Pandya responded by saying, “I like to watch and observe how they (women) move. I’m little from the black side so I need to see how they move.”
Pandya is currently with the Indian team in Australia where it recently recorded a historic maiden Test series win. Both are in the ODI squad for the series against Australia and the first match is scheduled to take place on January 12.
