Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari has expressed condolences on the demise of theatre doyen Padma Vibhushan Ebrahim Alkazi in Delhi.
“Ebrahim Alkazi was one of the most dedicated theater doyens of India. He was a great artist, passionate art lover and Guru to many well known artists. As Director of National School of Drama, he was instrumental in shaping the career of generations of artists. The plays directed by him are a testimony of his genius. In his demise, the world Indian of theater and art has lost a jewel,” said Governor Koshyari.
