Gondia’s Bindal Hotel owner, six others booked

Gondia: Police have booked six persons the Bindal Hotel owner, under section 304 (2), 201, 34, r/w 52, 54 of the IPC, Town Planning Act’s section 189 and Maharashtra Municipal Council Act’s section 36, nearly eight days after the fire tragedy.

Those who have been booked include Radheshyam Harichand Agarwal (62), Ashish Radheshyam Agarwal (42), both residents of Gondia, Dhiraj Radheshyam Agarwal (39) of Raipur, Zee Maha Sale’s Surendra Wamanrao Bansod of Raipur, Lokesh Ghanshyam Puri of Ghiwari and Vishwajeet Jitendra Khobragade of Gondia.

All the accused have gone underground fearing arrest. The accused are alleged to have destroyed evidence and pages having names of guests staying in the hotel at the time of the incident. Police Inspector Dinesh Shukla said that they are searching the accused.

It may be mentioned police also recovered some 22 LPG cylinders from the hotel and they are investigating as to why so many cylinders were kept in the hotel premises.

According to the report filed by API Jitendra Borkar, whois investigating the incident under the guidance of DSP Dr Dilip Patil Bhujbal, owners of the hotel do not have necessary license and there were many lacunae in the security.
