Fitness test for forest guards’ recruitment begins at Shendra MIDC

Aurangabad: The recruitment process of forest guards by the Forest department began on Wednesday with 1221 out the 1400 candidates taking part in the running fitness test being held at Shendra MIDC.

Chief Conservator of Forest Dr AR Mande, Deputy Conservator of Forest Ashok Girhepuje and other forest officers were present. Women candidates were required to run three km and men five km in the test. The final test will be conducted on November 24 and 25. Apart from water and medical facility, the candidates were provided conveyance from Kumbhefal chowk to assessment venue. 551 women and 4272 men, who cleared the running fitness test, were given the information through internet and were asked to be present during the final running assessment.

The visuals running test of forest guard candidates are being recorded so that any discrepancy can be identified. PT teachers are appointed to keep track of the race timings to eliminate possibility of irregularities in timing.

To see to any medical emergency, medical teams from MGM and Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj College were on their toes at the recruitment venue.

Several officers and staff of Marathwada’s Forest department have come for the recruitments and steadfast preparations are by the department.
