Jalgaon : Sanction is accorded to Rs 15 crore plan of Revolutionary Khajyaji Naik Memorial Centre at Dharangaon, said Chief Minister Devendra Fadanvis while expecting that through this centre the information about various government schemes should reach the adivasi people. Inspiring thoughts should be circulated to inculcate virtues and good qualities in the young generation, he added.
Fadanvis was speaking at the ‘Janjati Melava’ (tribal congregation) at Dharangaon organized by revolutionary Khajyaji Naik Memorial Institute. MoS Cooerative Gulanrav Patil, RSS Sarkaryawah Suresh alias Bhayyaji Joshi, Sri narayanswami, President of the Institute Bhaidas Sonvane and others were present on this occasion.
Chief Minister Fadanvis said that revolutionary Khajyaji Naik had fought with the British and destroyed their business of ‘afim’. It is a matter of pride to have his memorial erected here to run certain people welfare schemes for the tribal community.
He said that the tribal community has a glorious history as they protected the natural resources like water, forests and land (Jal, Jungle, Jameen)and fought against the British to free the motherland while doing useful activities for the uplift of the community. The work done by Baburao Shedmake and Bhima Naik is remarkable in this respect.
The Chief Minister said that the government is implementing various welfare schemes for tribal communities. Forest pattas have been distributed on a large scale. 50000 tribal students have got the chance to study in famous English schools. Maharashtra is the first state in India to give 5% funds to PESA villages. This fund will add to development of the village. The government is trying to protect the forest rights of the tribal people, he added.
In his address Sri Bhayyaji Joshi said that all Indians are one and the contribution of revolutionaries in the freedom struggle was remarkable and inspiring for all. Efforts are being made for the uplift and welfarae of the deprived sections of the society and all the social organisations should join hands with the government as their duty towards the society and the nation, he added. The revolutionary Khajyaji Naik memorial will prove to be inspiring for the development of the area he added and thanked the Chief Minister for sanctioning the plan.
Sri Narayanswami expressed his thoughts on the occasion. MP A T PAtil, MLAs Smita Wagh, Chandulal Patel, Shirish Chaudhary, Suresh Bhole, Unmesh patil, Sharad Dhole of RSS, Rajesh Patil, Chaitram pawar and others were prominently present at the function.
Chief Minister Fadanvis performed the bhumipujan of revolutional Khajyaji Naik memorial centre and had ‘darshan’ of his Samadhi. Earlier, he was received by Minister Gulabrao Patil, MLA Smt Wagh, and Addil. Collector Gorakshnath Gadilkar at the Helipad.
