Mumbai : The Maharashtra chief minister Uddhav Thackeray inaugurated Shiv Sena founder Bal Thackeray’s statue at south Mumbai’s Fort on Saturday evening in presence of the former chief minister, Devendra Fadnavis, the NCP supremo Sharad Pawar and the MNS chief Raj Thackeray. The ceremony was held on the occasion of the late supremo’s 95th birth anniversary.
The Mumbai Traffic Police had issued restrictions on vehicle movement to ensure the smooth functioning of the inauguration ceremony. Devendra Fadnavis, Raj Thackeray, Aaditya Thackeray, Sharad Pawar, Eknath Shinde, Chhagan Bhujbal, and Balasaheb Thorat were present at the venue.
Aaditya Thackeray said, “It was an emotional moment. He maintained personal relationships with his political ties. The crowd of all political parties is together because of the love they have for Bal Thackeray.
