Awareness programme for voters held in Jalna

Jalna: An awareness programme for the voters was organised at Master Krushna Phulambrikar on Saturday.

The returning officer of Jalna Municipal Council Election, Raju Nandkar and Chief Officer Santosh Khandekar, Education Officer Irshad Quadari and principals of various colleges were present.
Students of different colleges presented play to make awareness among the voters.

Speaking on the occasion, Nandkar said, “A vote is very precious, so people should use their right.”

The returning officer has roped in students to make awareness among people. He said election office is distributing pamphlets and putting banners and hoarding in the town to make awareness among the people. Students would perform street play and urge people to use their right, he added.

He appealed to the electorate to exercise their franchise without fail on Nov 27.

The election office also conducted training sessions at different places on how to vote. The elections of four councils Jalna, Partur, Bhokardan and Ambad are scheduled to be held on November 27.
