Another driver of Raj Thackeray infected with COVID-19

Mumbai: Another driver of MNS leader Raj Thackeray was infected with the COVID-19 positive. Two other drivers tested positive for COVID-19 last week while the third one was confirmed for the virus last night.

According to available information, all three are now currently undergoing treatment at a designated hospital in Mumbai. Thackeray resides with his family in Krishnakunj, which is located at Dadar’s Shivaji Park area, one of the worst-hit parts of the city.

A few days ago, two security personnel deployed at Thackeray’s residence had also tested positive for the contagious virus, however, with timely treatment, they could defeat the virus and have now recovered from it.

Meanwhile, the virus has also infiltrated the walls of Shiv Sena Bhavan where a senior party worker has tested positive for COVID-19. As per the precautionary measures laid out by the government, the entire building was sanitised and the office will remain closed for the next one week.

Earlier, some cops deployed outside Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray’s residence Matoshree had also contracted the virus after a nearby tea vendor had tested positive. So far, three senior leaders of the Maha- Vikas-Aghadi government — Jitendra Awhad, Ashok Chavan and Dhananjay Munde — have tested positive for coronavirus. All three of them have recovered
